Privacy Policy
Teleprompterly (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app and website handle, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we process
- Scripts and preferences. Scripts, folders, favorites, and teleprompter settings are stored locally on your device using on-device storage (SwiftData / UserDefaults). We do not operate a Teleprompterly cloud sync service in the current version.
- Sign in with Apple. If you sign in, Apple provides an identifier (and optionally a name/email you choose to share). We store that identity locally on the device to associate your session. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive purchase entitlement status through StoreKit so the app can unlock paid features. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Camera, microphone, speech, and photos. These permissions are used only to provide features you invoke (recording, Voice Follow, saving videos). Audio for speech recognition is processed on device when on-device recognition is available. Recordings you save are written to your photo library at your request.
- Website. The marketing site at teleprompterly.app is static. Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, user agent, and pages requested) for security and reliability.
How we use information
We use the information above to run Teleprompterly: keep your scripts available on device, verify subscription access, enable recording and Voice Follow, and respond to support requests you send us.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Limited sharing occurs with Apple for Sign in with Apple and In-App Purchases, and with our website host for serving teleprompterly.app. If you use Share Sheet or save to Photos, those actions stay under your control on your device and Apple’s systems.
Data retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear it. Subscription records are retained by Apple according to their policies. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request.
Children
Teleprompterly is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Revoke camera, microphone, speech, or photos access in iOS Settings.
- Sign out from within the app; delete the app to remove local scripts.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.

Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
